The Venetian is a hard act to follow. The
London Sunday Mail named the Venetian
"One of the Worlds Grandest Hotels". It's
also listed in the Guinness Book of World
Records for having the "Largest Hotel rooms
in the World". Even the locals, from taxi
drivers to an employee at the Belaggio had
to admit that the Venetian is THE most
beautiful hotel in Las Vegas, surpassing the
1.6 billion dollar Belaggio and the 2 billion
dollar Aladdin. The 120,000 Casino is not
only classy, but easy for even me to
navigate through. The pool area was a bit of
a disappointment, since we were expecting
it to be as amazing as the rest of the hotel.
Unbelievably, the five acres are located on
the fourth floor! The Canals are located on
the second floor with gondoliers singing
solos to their riders. Rides are $12.50 for
adults, $5 for children and $50 for a private
ride for two. Strolling through the Grand
Canal Shops seems a world away from the
madness of the "City of Sin" with clouds
overhead. The Celebration of Golf shop is a
"must see" for any golf fanatic. This two
story shop is chock full of golf gifts, knick
knacks, furniture and designer clothing. The
Venus Bar is the first authentic tiki bar built
in the U.S. in forty years. Evidently, an
authentic tiki bar must have each individual
tiki blessed by a priest and any lava used
must be locally mined. The V-Bar is another
funky place to relax with a drink. Low tables
which were scattered with candles and
made more comfortable with cushioned
seating. It was the perfect place to discover
a Mojito.

The Guggenheim Museum is hosting
"Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings",
housing over 2 billion dollars in
masterpieces from Picasso, Van Gogh,
Kandinsky, Matisse and Cezanne. Open
daily 9 a.m to 11 p.m., Adult admission is
$15, students $11, and children 6-12 $7. For
