different water attractions to keep cool, we were thrilled to get one of their
cabanas, which they charge half the price after 1:30 p.m. on any left over. W e went on a day that just wasn't very busy so they marked it down at 12:30 p.m. to only $35, and boy was it worth it! This made for a glorious day with the kids. Not only do they provide nice patio furniture and misters, but there were a couple of comfy cots to take a nap, full waitress service, bringing meals, snacks and attitude adjusting beverages, and always keeping your pitcher of ice water refilled when necessary. Now that you're all taken care of, the park takes care of the kids with thirteen waterslides including the new Shark Attack, a speeding, twisting three-person tube ride. There is also a lazy river ride, a wave-pool for a bit of bodysurfing and a water filled fun house occasionally dumping astronomical amounts of water on those standing below. There are a couple of age appropriate slides for the little ones as well as a knee deep water play area.
Open daily at 11:00 and closing at various times throughout the year.
Admission is $21.95 for adults and $14.95 for children 3-11. Prices are discounted
after 2:00pm. General parking is $5 and preferred parking $7.

Reality sets in, you gotta keep moving, must find water...then...could it be? Your spirits are lifted at the paradise that awaits you, shaded by white canvas and cooled by the mist of water droplets wafting on the hint of a breeze. Your hope is restored the moment that magical tonic touches your lips (ok, it's a margarita.) As I was saying... where did this oasis come from? Is it real? That's how we felt coming to the Soak City Waterpark in Palm Springs. We so yearning for the solace of our bed that day, ordering up some delivery and watch some mindless television. Instead we were left with no choice, having promised the kids a day at the waterpark, we already had the tickets. Thinking we would have to push ourselves to keep moving in the |
