Sandbar & Grill
Lake Havasu City, Arizona
A day on Lake Havasu takes a bit of preparation if you don't want to
hassle with a meal. Those who don't care to pack one, usually dock
their boat and make their way to a local deli or regress with
something mediocre while getting gas. Nearly an oasis, just off
shore is the Sandbar & Grill.

We were unaware this place was here, before a local merchant gave
it his recommendation. Barefooted beachcombers let their boats
drift ashore and make the lengthy trek across the hot sand to the
Sandbar in need of refreshement.

It's surfer motif can seem a bit off course, but only enhances the
vacation flow. Burgers and chicken sandwiches could be mistaken
for as islanders topped with pineapple and barbecue sauce, jack
cheese, jalapeno and ortega chiles or teriyaki sauce, sauteed
mushrooms and Swiss. A half pound Basket of Clams or an order of
Fish & Chips are the perfect pairing for a beer before heading back
on the water. Even their Corn Dog was delicious! This food may be
too good for those who've relinquisted their wits to the brew!

They serve beer and wine and an outdoor stage suggests they have
entertainment. I've called several times for more information about
their hours and when their season starts and ends, but the phone
just rings and rings. It's worth checking out anyways.
