You have many options to choose from, including flights from 20 minutes to 60 minutes,
which tends to dictate how high you start from. You can choose acrobatic type flights,
you can go by yourself (with instructor of course), where you sit up front and actually get
to fly for at least half the trip (which is what we opted for), or they can take two of you
up, where you sit behind the instructor and he flies only (they take out the rear controls
so two can fit). You can spend $15 to have a remote camera on the wing to take photos
of your flight. For $20 you can experience some "thrills". They also offer "scenic" trips
over the San Jacinto mountains, but you can see the ocean and Catalina Island on a
normal trip.

Where else can you get the controls to fly a plane for a few bucks? That was the best
part. It's quite the rush to be in control of an airplane, especially when you can do
bank turns, high speed descents, natural ascents using thermals (rising air currents),
weightlessness G-pulls, etc. Very Cool!! I recommend it to all. This makes a great
gift and gift certificates are available.

Well, it was my brother's birthday and I asked him
what he wanted to do, I was hoping for an activity
rather than a gift. He mentioned "gliding". I
thought, "how boring", you get in a plane that gets
towed up into the air, cut the cord and gracefully
"fly" back down to earth. No engine noise, no
thrust, all quiet, how boring!?! Boy, was I wrong.
True, you do get towed up behind another plane,
and it is quiet, but WOW, what a fun time!! You can
experience heavy G-Force (we did up to 3), full 180-
degree bank turns (on your wingtips),
weightlessness, high-speed and low-speed ascent
or descent (typically 25-60 mph, but we got up to
100 mph at the end), etc.
