Choosing a place to stay in Temecula on
this particular weekend proved to be a challenge. Though a place with room service and all the fancy amenities was preferred, we were only staying one night and really wanted some pool time on our check-out day. It's always hard enough trying to find a place that doesn't have a two-night minimum, and a Saturday check-in really narrows the choices, but a late check-out is a shot in the dark . We chose this place because they do offer late check-out, and I mean late! For an additional $15 they'll extend your check-out time to 6:00 p.m., this excludes Friday and Saturday check-out days. It was perfect. We sat by the pool all day, and what would have otherwise been a quick, expensive sleep over, extended our weekend, making us feel more like we got more of our money's worth. Our room wasn't anything special, a smoking, double queen room which provided a small refrigerator, coffee pot and hair dryer, and seemed a bit overpriced, but the location was nice and quiet, located in Old Town Temecula. The Country Garden Restaurant & Bakery is directly next door, as well as a drive-thru Mexican food stand that was just as close. Snack, soda and water vending machines were located on the first floor. Our Saturday rate was $138 through www.hotelsquick.com, compared to Ramada's price of $144 which included a AAA discount. Expedia.com's prices were much higher at $172 for the same thing. Rooms through Ramada are only $70 a night Sunday through Thursdays and includes a full breakfast.
