Pechanga
Temecula, California
This casino is as close to Vegas style as I've
seen yet here in California. We came to see
a concert here and decided to stay the
night. Right away we kept commenting on
what a great job the tribe did on building
this hotel and casino. Though money was
poured into this hotel, it doesn't have the
Vegas flash, so life seems a bit simpler and
slower here, unless your doing some heavy
betting that is! It was sprawling with
various restaurants, bars and gift shops.
There's plenty of card tables and slots,
even a "high roller's" room. We paid $149
for our room, which was spacious, clean
and new, with a primitive view of continuing
construction here and there. We had heard
that they were possibly putting in a golf
course which could really improve the view.
Though the room was big, the decor didn't
thrill me. I personally think $100 for this
room would have been a better trade for
my gambling dollars.
Below is a list of their restaurants:

Great Oak
Paisano's
The Grotto
Buffet
Pechanga Cafe
Snack Bar

Sure those bright lights of Vegas can't be
beat, but once the valet's parks your car,
you can feel the excitement of money
everywhere. It'll suppress any "Vegas
fever" you may have, for a while anyway.
