resort, while on the premises is their restaurant, The Captain's Table and
beach bar, The Naked Turtle. Their Beachfront Convenience Store and
Boutique was well stocked with the latest fashions, snacks and drinks and
boating needs. Our October rate of $124 a night was a bargain as far as I
was concerned.

Those who frequent Lake Havasu,
seem to have their routine's down pat,
making trips on a moments notice.
Bringing a boat can prove to be
cumbersome, having to take it out at
the day's end and park it, only to
launch it again the next morning.
Having only been a half dozen times
myself, I hadn't had an ideal trip until
here. The Nautical Inn, Arizona's only
all-beachfront resort, lured me here
with their private beach, keeping boats
ready and waiting. The rooms were
motel standards, but had all the
modern conveniences for those, like
myself, pretending to be "river rats".
Our Bay Room #338 was their standard
room and had two queen beds, a
separate living room with a full size
pull-out sofa bed, two televisions, an
ironing board, a small 2-cup coffee pot,
blow dryer, microwave, refrigerator
and a private balcony overlooking their
private beach. Though the beach is
available to all guests, it's on a "first
come, first serve basis". There is an
18-hole golf course adjacent the
