Hobby City
Visit the coin shop.
The Bear Tree sells
stuffed animals.
Miniatures sells
just that.
I remember my mom taking me here
25 years ago, I loved it. I couldn't
believe it's still around. Built in 1955,
it hasn't changed much. It use to
have a little train thrilling kids with
rides around the premises and is now
next door at Adventure City. It did
seem a little less spectacular to me
returning here as an adult, but our
kids had a ball spending their saved
allowances, adding coins and shells
to their collections. We went the
week after Christmas and they're
already nagging to go back. My
favorite when I was a kid was the
Rocks & Gems shop. Back then there
were barrels of rocks and shelves
filled with them and so much that was
affordable, now it has fossils, rocks
and loose gems and jewelry, more of
a gift shop. This is a great place to
buy a loose diamonds, rubies or other
gems which are kept locked in a
cabinet. Tell them what you are
looking to spend and they will show
you the size you can get. They have
23 different hobby & collectable
shops in all selling everything from
shells, reptiles, models, trading
cards, Indian made things, dolls,
miniatures, coins, stamps and lots
more. They also have a Doll & Toy
Museum that you can tour for $2.

Located at 1238 Beach Boulevard
in Anaheim.
