Pronounced "Holly-Eva", this place is intriguingly
designed and worth a visit no matter. The hilly
mounds built up around it gives the appearance
that it is underground, making it a perfect cave.
Inside, the architecture is striking, with curvy
beamed ceilings and curious seating areas
around every corner. The open kitchen takes
center stage in the lounge, where a startling
sound from a pan of hot oil consuming it's
contents, turn heads. Settling into a sofa,
soaking up the tropical atmosphere is a
marvelous way to wind down a busy day. Happy
Hour is modest, every day from 4:30 to 7:00
p.m., with their appetizer menu discounted, just
a bit. We enjoyed Ahi Spring Rolls, with seared
ahi stuffed into a crispy wonton and served with
a sweet chili sauce. This was discounted from
$9.25 to $7.95. Their Thai Calamari was equally
enjoyable, with breaded rings served with the
same sauce discounted from $7.25 to $4.50.
Selected drinks are also slightly discounted,
which didn't include our drinks, the excellent
Mojito served martini style for $6.75 and the
Rum-age A Trois with Cruzan Vanilla, banana and
coconut rums with a splash of orange and
pineapple juices at whopping $7.25. If you're
looking for something for nothing, this isn't the
place to be at happy hour.
As for me, I love the place!
