Glamour Shots

Tired of the same old date: dinner and a movie? Then an evening at
Glamour Shots may be the excitement your looking for. This isn't the
dreadful photo shoot where you have to straddle a bench, tilt your
head and look off into nowhere. This is a blast!

The whole experience with hair and make-up is the most fun. A stylist
helps put together different looks adding extras if needed from their
rack of leather jackets, sequin tops and various hats. They even put
final touches on my husband giving him a hair style he loved, but
never thought to do.

Each photographer is a master in his specialty. Albert does fun
photos of couples and the younger ones. We booked the birthday
party package for our 13 year old daughter and her 3 friends. Each
girl gets hair and make-up, more than a dozen poses with three
wardrobe changes and a sheet with their favorite pose to take home.
This special package is for a minimum of four guests for $50 to $70
per person depending on the time of day and day of the week. I'll tell
you what, by the time Albert was done those girls looked like
"Covergirl" models. It was such a self esteem boost for their
awkward age.

My husband and I were so impressed that we came to document our
10 year anniversary here. For this photo shoot Junior was
recommended and man did he made us sizzle. This photo shoot was
anything but boring. Before we knew it my husband donned only a
pair of jeans while I was wrapped in a red satin sheet. We laughed
and looked dreamily into one anothers eyes, admiring each other in
this different light. We were hot!

Our photos were so good it was truly hard to choose. Photos are one
pose per sheet and each sheet is $50. A sheet consists of either 1-
8x10, 2-5x7, 4-3x5 or 8-wallets. We narrowed it down to 8 poses
which qualified us for a free CD with all of our 38 shots set to music.

Pictures are ready to view 10 minutes or so after your session. They
are not only shown in color, but in black & white or with sepia effects,
even colorization of a particular article of clothing. Keep in mind that
special effects or pearlized paper costs extra. For black & white and
sepia tones it's $15 extra per pose. For an additional $75 per pose
they can Glamour Touch each pose, erasing fine lines, brightening
teeth and eyes and erasing minor blemishes. They can go even
further for erasing braces and heavy acne, a wonderful tool for those
important senior pictures.

Photos take about a week before they are ready for pick up at which
time we were offered the opportunity to purchase photos for less, 3
sheets for $75. We couldn't help, but take advantage of this great
deal. This is so fun it was worth it to join their Portrait Club. The $30
membership waives all sitting fees for the whole year and each visit
the card holder gets a free 8x10 or 10x13.

Whether it's a special occasion or just for the heck of it Glamour Shots
is a fun way to pass away a couple of hours. It's so exciting it's
almost addicting!
