Embassy Suites Anaheim North
All the rooms look over the
tropical courtyard.
There were many amenities that seemed
mighty attractive here at the Embassy
Suites. The first being it's tropical setting.
The lush foliage and the sound of trickling
water from the indoor Koi pond was
reminiscent of the Blue Bayou Restaurant
askew from the Pirates of the Caribbean
ride at Disneyland. Our stay over a cold
weekend in December didn't phase us a bit,
after all we were in our own little outdoor
world inside this hotel. I had been looking
for an indoor heated pool when searching
for the right hotel here in Anaheim, a rare
amenity I discovered, this one didn't
disappoint. The air was temperature
controlled, with a partial glass roof to let in
natural light and various tables and lounge
chairs to relax or read. Besides the
Jacuzzi, one could relax in the dry sauna or
get in a work out in the adjoining gym. The
rates here are killer with our December
rate of $119 for a weekend night. Our room
had a separate bedroom with a king-size
bed and a separate living area with a pull-
out sofa bed, another television and a
dining table. Our low rate also included a
"manager's reception" from 5:30 p.m. to
7:30 p.m. offering complimentary
beverages or cocktails and light snacks
such as popcorn and nachos, but it also
included a complimentary breakfast for
each guest with cooked-to-order
omelettes, pancakes, sausage, bacon,
potatoes, muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit,
coffee, juice and ice tea. Gregory's
Restaurant
, located on the premises is
open for lunch and dinner and has a bar to
enjoy a nightcap or play a round of pool
before retiring. Room service hours are
from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Check-in
is at 3:00 p.m and check-out is at noon.
Parking is free as well as a shuttle to
Disneyland.
