Undersea Tour

Catalina Island, California

The ocean can be quite intimidating. Much
of it's mysteries have yet to be discovered. You never know what's lurking beneath it's surface. That is exactly why an underwater tour can be such a thrill.
This undersea tour sits curiosity seeker five
feet under the water in a climate-controlled cabin while the host talks you through a 45-minute tour. Come face to face with an array of ocean dwellers such as bright orange Garibaldi and Spotted Calico Bass. If you're lucky you may even see bat rays or a shark. The day cruise is the best with much more visibility, but the night cruise reveals a completely different variety of fish. Before this little adventure we were all excited to go diving at Lubbers Cove where we were told that a bag of frozen peas would attract some fine specimens for us to get a look at. We were shocked to know there was this much going on just under our noses. Our diving plans quickly changed the minute we were shuttled back to the dock, with the kids and I were too scared to go diving now.
Day trips are $33.25 for adults, $16.95 for
children and $30 for seniors. Night trips are $29 for adults, $14.50 for children and $26 for seniors.
