We came here a couple of years ago, after I had read rave
reviews about the place. Our visit rewarded us with our best meal
of the year. The Potato Gnocchi was such a heavenly experience,
so tender and creamy, and no matter how we have searched,
we've never had one that comes close than here. Their Wild
Mushroom Risotto
was equally impressive and ever since this
lunch I've been dreaming of coming back. Finally we have,
anxious to repeat the experience. They have an elegant circus
them, which was magnificently achieved with colorful silks that
covered the ceiling. Getting here late at the lunch hour rewarded
us with an ideal table with a lakeside view with the towering hotels
as the backdrop. Again I started with their Bellini, an Italian
concoction of champagne and peach nectar, I love 'em! We were
frustrated to hear that their heavenly gnocchi was the night
before's special, but we're happy to settle on the Ravioli di Mamma
Egi
which was stuffed with ricotta and spinach and topped with a
sensational lemon butter sauce with sage. It consoled us just fine.
The Carpaccio with Mustard Cream Sauce was another pleaser.
The thin crusted La Bianca Con Proscuitto Pizza was cooked with
fontina cheese and proscuitto and once out of the oven it was
finished with fresh arugula and shaved parmesan, pretty yummy
stuff. At the end of our meal we were brought a complimentary
plate of cookies which didn't compare to their meals, but was a
classy touch. As awesome as this last lunch was, it didn't get the
vote for "meal of the year", but I highly recommend this
restaurant as one of my favorites.
