California Cruisin's

San Diego, California
Our boat the Sea Hawk II
I discovered this unique place to stay on the
web. A "Boat & Breakfast" certainly sounded
fun! It's a great concept; boat owners rent their
boats out through California Cruisin' when they
are not using them, while California Cruisin
delivers breakfast. Although there were several
boats to choose from we settled on the Sea
Hawk, a 51' Mc Creedie. Once we boarded our
yacht we were very pleased. The Sea Hawk is a
handmade boat with lovely wood throughout.
There are two, surprisingly, nice bedrooms, both
with a bathroom with shower and televisions.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven,
refrigerator, microwave, a table for 4 and a
counter with a couple of more chairs. The living
room area had a couple of sofas, stereo and
television with lots of windows. Ahhh....this was
the life! We thought the $225 a night was
reasonable. When our dad came out to stay,
though, for a night we discovered it's an extra
$50 for the use of the extra room. Included in
your stay is full use of the Sheriton Hotel pool
and Jacuzzi, as well as a 20% discount in their
restaurants. For $300 per hour they will charter
your own personal cruise on your yacht if you're
staying aboard and $335 an hour if your not.

Located at 1450 Harbor Island Drive,
Cabrillo Isle Marina in San Diego.
