Ayres has a lovely lobby.

stone faced desk personal, we thought
a more befitting spelling of the hotel's name should have been "Airs". Putting that aside our room #348 was one of the most beautifully decorated rooms we've stayed in, with gold tones and rich wine colors. The bathroom was equally impressive with black marble striking against more golds. There also wasn't a restaurant or lounge on the premises, which doesn't make it easy to hang out here indefinitely, but they do have a small in-room refrigerator |

and microwave that could do the trick if you packed some food or reheated
leftovers from a local restaurant. They do serve complimentary appetizers in the evenings, Monday through Thursday as well as a full complimentary breakfast buffet every morning, which I wish they had informed me about ahead of time, cause we missed it. There are also in-room hairdryers, writing desk, Internet connections, 2-line phones, voice mail and satellite television, as well as a heated pool, whirlpool, washer and dryer on the premises. Our room was well worth the price at $119 a night.

We're not early morning risers, so
making it to brunch is always a grand feat for us. Nevertheless, we so wanted to go to Spaghettini's Jazz Brunch that staying overnight somewhere close seemed the solution to getting us here painlessly. The location was perfect for brunch, right across the street, and businessmen located right off the freeway, but added no view for pleasure seekers.
